Driver´s School 2007by Tonya M. SmithI would like to send a huge thank you, thank you to all of the instructors for the April 28th 2007 Driver's School. You were such a great help. If it had not been for you and your efforts we would not have had a successful Driver's School. I know that some of you were quite leery about being an instructor, however you did an excellent job. I see it this way, if just one of your students walked away learning one thing and one thing only, it was a success. I heard a lot of good things about all of you (instructors) all day long. Everyone had a great time. That is what this Sport is about fun, cars, speed, control and safety. So here is a big kudos to our instructors and they are:
If I have forgotten someone I am very sorry. I was going by my memory and list pre-event. As you know there are always changes on site. So please forgive me if I forgot your name. You know who you are and what you did to help. So I say again, Thank You Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I know that there are a lot of new names and faces for me to learn this year. I hope to get the chance to know each of you by the end of the year. Autocrossing is a new and exciting Sport to some of you. I hope that you get the chance to grow to love this Sport as much as I do. I have been doing this for almost 15 years now. I still learn something new every time I get on course. So, if any of you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask. I am willing to work with you all year round. If you need to be taking a corner a little differently, or don't know where you think you should be braking, ask me. That is what I am here for. If I do not know the answer or I think there is someone who could help you a little better, I will find that person for you.
Yes, I know that there are some names missing to this list, things got switched around at the event and I lost the paper work (SORRY). Plus, there were a few names added at the event, so I am going by what I have in front of me. You are not forgotten. I see Autocrossing as a family sport. Bring out your family (dad, mom, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, cousins, etc.), friends (male and female), co-workers, anyone. Just make sure they sign the Waiver and a Minor Waiver must be signed for Minors (any one under the age of 18 years old). The OVR website has all relevant Minor Waiver information. I just want to thank all of you. You all are wonderful I am excited about the new race season and to see how all of you do. So just look for me, I will most likely be in some sort of Tye Dye. Peace Out,
